Riding Beyond the Reins: The Neckring Course
This is a step-by-step course designed to take you from riding with reins to riding without a bridle — safely, honestly, and without shortcuts.
Across 10 progressive steps, you’ll learn how to prepare your horse and yourself for true bridleless riding. We focus on building clear responses, refining your seat, and developing communication that does not depend on your hands.
By the end of this course, you will be able to ride in a round pen at walk and trot without a bridle, using a neckring as your primary aid.
This is not about performance. It’s about understanding. Each step will show you exactly where you are in your training — and what still needs to be improved before moving on.
A second course will build on this foundation, taking the work into the open arena, introducing canter, and progressing toward small jumps.
